How is everyone doing?!
I had to carry this over from the old forum, as she is not finished yet. Day 1 was December 22, 2025.
Here is a photo from today:
Here is where it started:
Hello everyone,
I wanted to document my grow with Twisted Tree’s Sugar Cube that I won in a raffle here.
She sprouted today after being in the ground for 2 days…
Just used the old paper towel in a sandwich bag trick to get her to poke out a tail. Took about 36 hours for her to grow a healthy 1/4 inch tail.
Soil: Sunshine Mix #4
Water: well (ph is around 6)
Nutes: Fox Farms Cultivation Nation Veggie 24-14-11
Light: SideKing 450watt
Thanks for stopping by.

Yes dude! I saw the thread on the XF saying you were moving it over here. In for the ride.
I only got a little off the TT Stargazer I ran, had some grow issues at the time but really liked the smoke. I should run more of their gear again.

Day 77
I am soooo ready to chop her, but it’s too early.
Whatcha think? Another week or two?

She’s getting closer. I am going to give her another week I think. Or maybe longer, I am being impatient.
Looks at her in all of her glory.
Trics are still clearish.

I’ve been letting my plants goo a bit longer than I used to, basically til all pistils have darkened and the trichomes are at least 50/50 Cloudy/Amber and the harvests have been awesome! I really feel the strains are way more potent and flavorful, and the terps are a lot better than when I was pulling them at 10-20% Amber and 80-90% Cloudy. But harvest window is all opinion on when is the right time lol

Thanks @KingRatt !
My patience is getting the best of me because I am down to my last jar…maybe two ounces…and I NEED more

I know what you mean, kind of. Been having really quick harvests, I think it’s my soil because it’s the only thing I’ve changed and I’ve just been cooking it between grows. But I’ve shaved off a week or two in all the strains I regularly grow. All I can think of is it’s the soil. Yields and potency are great and improve every grow so I’m just gonna roll with it! But I get anxious when we get low!

Ok, rookie question here…what do you mean “cook”?
I have a bunch of dirt I was to reuse and am looking for the best thing to amend with. So far I am thinking of getting some worm castings and some organic mulch.
Any tips are appreciated

Ya just buy a KIS organic or maybe BAS has something similar and amend with that..cheap,effective until flower as is. And the cook is just it composting and getting hot,and stinking up the place.
typically for 30 days..but 45 to 60 is ideal when its amended more heavily for longer veg and flower pushes.
Or you could find a recipe and buy said components and amend that way.typically a bit more expensive that way. But happy hunting

I amend the soil if necessary and add all the beneficial bacteria and mycos and such and let it cook while I grow a round, the microbes repopulate and turn the amendments Into usable food again. I have a batch of soil cooking from the last harvest while I grow the next round and repeat. I have to add some soil back in every once in a while as the root balls always take some with it, but I’ve been using the same recycled recooked soil for almost 2yrs now and every grow gets better.

Nice,ya use a fungal component to your tailored mixes?
I add in Great White mycos and beneficial bacteria and when I water it in to cook I add in unsulphered black strap molasses so they have plenty to thrive on and multiply. I try to get rid of all the root balls but whatever remains also gets eaten up and turned to good stuff. I keep it very simple. But it has been working great for me. I don’t add much amendments anymore either, none for the last 5-6 grows anyway, I like a neutral soil that i can control from day one, since I feed with every watering. I do a lot of things that are taboo, for instance, I don’t water to run off. Sometimes it happens, but I try not to. I don’t do foliar either. At least not after flowering has begun and only to address an issue. I feed them from the first feeding and sometimes I won’t feed for the last week or two. Not to flush, but to avoid adding anything into the soil that won’t be consumed and to let them consume everything in the soil. I start with basically a 50/50 mix of fox farm happy frog and Mother Earth Coco/Peat 50/50. I add in about 30% extra perlite and grow with that. When finished with the grow, I let it dry, then remove the root ball as completely as possible being careful to save the soil, and all I add back in is the mycos/bennies and molasses to feed them and let it cook while I grow the next round. I’ve simplified it as much as possible over time. Autos today are so fast, I find I don’t run into problems like wild lockouts or deficiencies. I have to add in more soil and perlite once or twice a year but that’s it. Its become a pretty efficient operation.

Trichome coverage looks good and dense. I agree that they look pretty clear still. You could snip a piece off and let it dry, see how you like it before taking the while thing down.
Mossy had said some of the older growers would take test buds each week to determine the “right” spot.
Day 88
I think I will do a partial harvest this weekend, taking the top half off and letting the lower buds mature a week or so more.
Here’s a top down showing some nice fade
Here’s a side shot
And a close up
Still about 50% milky, but I am losing my patience and want to smoke!

Beautiful flower! Enjoy
Whats her terps smell like to you?

That’s the thing… there is like no smell. If I rub the stem I get a hint of berry, but it’s faint. Weird, right?
I like to move them a bit or a gentle shake around by the stem. Should be a sweet peach to melon smell.

@IamPepe - nice to see you dude!

I did a partial harvest, grabbing everything that was sticking up so the lower half can get some light and get a little fatter.
Check out some of the buds:
This one is about 8’“
Another monster bud
And another
And here are a few more
I’m guessing it’ll be about an ounce once it dries, it’s a little over 2 right now.
So far I am extremely happy with it, fat buds with some pinks and purples throughout.
